Makerspaces Mackay Inc. (MSMKY) is a community shed/workshop that provides a range of activities, tools and equipment for shared use by its members. Collaborating on projects, problem solving and innovating, provides opportunities for advancing mental health and relieving social isolation in a safe and supportive space.
Stacey Lia, who serves as the director of Imagin8 Studio, holds the position of Secretary at Makerspaces Mackay Inc. At Imagin8 Studio contribute our time to support this organisation by assisting with website updates, graphic design, and social media marketing endeavors.
Mack PopCon, a not-for-profit organisation, is dedicated to hosting an annual pop culture event in the Mackay region. Its primary objective is to create a safe and inclusive environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds can gather to celebrate their shared passion for pop culture.
The organisation endeavors to ensure accessibility for people of all abilities and backgrounds, fostering an atmosphere of learning and enjoyment. Mack PopCon is excited to provide a platform for both emerging and established businesses to showcase and sell their pop culture merchandise and collectibles.
We’ve supported the Mack PopCon 2024 event by providing our graphic design services in-kind. Our contributions this year include developing the 2024 event branding, designing posters, and crafting social media templates.
The MKY City Heart Collective is a positive citizen-led group, focused on creating connected communities and better places by fostering healthy and vibrant ‘places for people’, through temporary or permanent installations, that enhance the appeal of our regional destination by developing and showcasing creative work that activates spaces and places in our community.
The team is are part of the not-for-profit ‘Town Team Movement’ group which works collaboratively to improve one’s town, with their local government, through action, not advocacy, through an ‘inclusive to all’ policy.
Imagin8 Studio, spearheaded by Stacey Lia, undertook the task of designing the logo, establishing the branding identity for MKY City Heart Collective and the set up of the social media pages including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Stacey is also an integral member of the MKY City Heart Collective Team who dedicates her time to volunteering for diverse projects within the team.
