Step into the frame at Street Scene, a bold and expressive Photo Swap set in the heart of Mackay City Centre at SPARK! Wood St’s Community Hub.
At the old cinema carpark, photographers and models will collaborate to capture street style, attitude, and individuality.
Whether you’re repping edgy fashion, vintage finds, or just your most confident self, this is your chance to strike a pose, tell a story, and create something cool together. Think pavement portraits, dynamic motion shots, graffiti backdrops, and bold colours – it’s all about celebrating style, creativity, and the Mackay streets that inspire us.
This is a TFP (Time for Photos) event, where photographers and models collaborate by exchanging time and skills rather than payments. Photographers provide edited photos to the models in return for their participation, allowing both parties to expand their portfolios, expand their skills and experiment with different creative styles.

Street Scene Photo Swap is all about capturing the raw, expressive spirit of street fashion and urban energy. Meeting at the SPARK! hub at Mackay’s old cinema carpark, this Photo Swap invites photographers and models to explore bold looks, attitude-driven poses, and the stories our streets can tell. From retro threads and layered textures to edgy silhouettes and bursts of colour, the theme celebrates individual style and creative freedom. Whether you’re rocking a statement jacket, thrifted gems, or just your own fierce confidence, this is your space to shine. Bring your best streetwear, your creativity, and your curiosity – we’re creating art in motion, inspired by the heart of Mackay’s city centre.
Photo Swap is a TFP (Time for Photos) event, where all participants collaborate in the spirit of creative exchange. Photographers, models, designers, stylists, and makeup artists work together to create stunning imagery, with no payment exchanged. Photographers will provide each model (and any other collaborators involved) with edited images (minimum 1-3) at no cost, reflecting the collaborative nature of the shoot. If a full gallery photos or more personalised editing is requested, we encourage participants to discuss and agree on arrangements privately and respectfully. All parties are free to use the final images for portfolio and promotional purposes, with clear communication and mutual respect regarding image usage. Copyright remains with the photographer, and when sharing images online, we ask that both the photographer and model (and any artists/stylists involved) are credited and tagged appropriately. Please note: All participants must complete a Photo Permission & Consent Form prior to the event. This helps ensure everyone is informed and in agreement about the collaborative process and how images may be used. Let’s create with clarity, respect, and creativity!
