Join us on Sunday 27th July 2025 from 4pm to 6pm at Cape Hillsborough’s Diversity Boardwalk for our WEAR IT WILD Photo Swap!
This collaborative Photo Swap event invites photographers, models, designers, stylists, and artists to connect, create, and showcase fashion and wearable art inspired by one of Mackay’s most breathtaking locations, Cape Hillsborough.
Whether you’re stepping in front of the lens, behind it, or crafting stunning wearable pieces, this event is all about creativity, storytelling, and celebrating the beauty of the wild. What makes Photo Swap special is the collaborative energy—photographers share editing tips and techniques, while models help each other with posing, creating a uniquely creative and supportive environment.
Wear it Wild is a TFP (Time for Photos) event, where creatives collaborate by exchanging time, skills, and artistic vision rather than payment. Photographers, models, wearable art designers, stylists, and makeup artists work together to create stunning visuals inspired by nature. Photographers provide edited photos to the models and creatives they collaborate with in return for their participation. It’s a chance for everyone involved to expand their portfolios, explore new creative styles, and build meaningful connections in a supportive, collaborative space.
If you’d like to join us please send us a message below to introduce yourself and let us know whether you’ll be taking photos, modeling, or getting involved behind the scenes!

Whether you’re learning, building your brand, or ready to showcase your artistry in a new way, this is your space to shine.
Imagin8 Studio will be helping to facilitate creative connections in the lead-up to the event, linking models with wearable art designers, hair and makeup artists, and photographers wherever possible. This collaborative support aims to help participants plan their looks, styling, and creative concepts in advance. While we’ll do our best to match creatives based on availability and interest, these connections are not guaranteed, and we encourage participants to be open, flexible, and prepared.
This event’s theme celebrates Wearable Art and Fashion Styling inspired by Cape Hillsborough—one of Mackay’s most breathtaking natural settings. Set along the stunning Diversity Boardwalk, participants are encouraged to draw from the rich visual and cultural tapestry of the landscape: from volcanic rock formations, mangroves, and ancient rainforests to native wildlife, coastal textures, and the deep cultural heritage of the Yuibera people. Whether it is an avant-garde gown, nature-infused accessories, or bold statement pieces, the focus is on designing or styling creative looks that reflect and honour the wild beauty of the land. Let your creativity run wild.
